milk on cereal makes the same sound as salt on ice

Here I am, having just finished a bowl of corn flakes with a dash of milk [I say dash because I do not like soggy cereal], all the while listening to the cereal crackle as the milk softens it. It’s one of those strange things you notice in life when you least pay attention to it, and yet somehow you notice it. Like the ice crackling after a few minutes of salt resting on it. I wish I could take a picture of these things because these little moments are what makes life enjoyable, and yet because the moments are so fleeting and serene, it’s almost impossible to take a picture to capture the moment. Describing said moment in eloquent and elegant wording doesn’t do the scene any justice at all. It is only something that can be experienced.

So, here’s to all the little moments that go unnoticed, and to the little moments that are noticed. I will continue to look out for you.
