What is the smallest thing?

In reply to The Daily Post:

If we are measuring by surface area, I guess some of the smallest things near me are a penny, a dime, a safety pin, and a thumb tack. I guess if we’re looking at size, the dime is the smallest. I’m not really sure which I would consider the smallest. They’re all things we consider odds and ends that we find in our pockets anyway. They don’t matter to us. And we never have one around when we actually need it but we always find one when we don’t. Life is so strange that way, isn’t it?
