Two More Weeks

This morning I drove into a wall of white and I saw what I could not see before, looming in the foreground against a background that danced beyond my vision. It changed to the melody of speeding cars and popular music, to going 75 mph and slamming on the brakes. It impeded my aerodynamics and held my speed against my will. But I still arrived early.
